How have you been in the meantime? Did you manage to create a place of energy, rest and recovery within yourself, to which you like to return and that helps you to relax? Embellish this place with more details until you feel as comfortable with it as with your home.
If you have practiced as often and as beneficial as possible, you should already be able to feel that the mere thought of this place has a calming effect. If you have important appointments, whether professional or for example at the dentist, it can help you to relax if you visualize this place. Today we will try to make a direct contact to the spiritual world.
Sounds interesting, doesn't it? But don't expect that from now on angels will fly through your view - or weird things will happen. If you make yourself clear anytime and always, that you want to have contact to the higher spiritual world, you are under a protection that prevents you from negative influences. To be on the safe side, you should recite a freely formulated prayer to God or to the power you believe in, before you enter your meditation. Ask for protection and guidance from the HIGHER SPIRITUAL WORLD and believe in the fact that this protection will be granted.
Let's start. Say your little prayer, put yourself in a comfortable posture for the meditation that includes a connection of your feet with the ground. In- and exhale slowly like you've learned already. Imagine the light that flows through you and carries away all worries. You become calm and relaxed, you are at your PLACE of meditation. Have a close look at everything, notice every detail, enjoy the colors, maybe even the smell of the light.
Stick to this image for a moment until you feel totally relaxed and comfortable and ready for the next step. Now it gets exciting...
Ask your spirit leader to become apparent. Your spirit leader can be either a male or a female. Ask your spirit leader for a sign of his or her presence. Even if this seems abstract to you because maybe you don't really believe in such a creature, do it and you will be surprised. Everyone of us has such a loving creature around oneself who accompanies and leads us. Many times we are so headstrong that we don't want or are not able to sense this creature. We also call this a guardian angel. Pay attention to the smallest change after you have said this request (aloud or inside yourself). It can be a soft pressure on your shoulder (this is how it started with me), a tender touch, a breath, a word, a thought, a color - anything that is new at the moment. It's rarely that you will see a figure at this point. And this is not yet necessary. You have shown with your request that you are ready to perceive - this is all that is needed at the moment.
If you feel no change at all, then maybe the time is not right yet. That's no reason to despair or to give up. Sometime - unexpected and when you need it, the contact will come about. Continue with this practices in any case as long if you feel comfortable with it.
If you have felt the contact, stay in this connection for a while, maybe you will get some advice or a hint already. When you start feeling uncomfortable because it is strange and surprising, thank your spirit leader and inhale and exhale again a few times, before you end the exercise.
Bring the exercise to an end by thanking again for this meeting, this time in an awake state, and 'close' yourself consciously. Imagine that you wrap yourself up in a cape to protect your soul, your spirit and your body - it's a beautiful cape made of velvet or silk - turn up the hood thus you are totally covered. This 'mental' cape can also help you in your day to day life to protect you from negative influences. Always imagine it when you have the feeling that you need this protection because of a certain sensitivity or vulnerability.
Now you are well prepared for the daily routine. Keep on exercising every day unless you are sure that the contact is made and we can continue with the next exercise. Write to me when you have difficulties or when you need explanations for perceptions. And take good care of yourself.
