The Power of the Healing Stones

We start with the presentation of the monthly stones according to the starsigns (refering to antique authors, nowadays monthly stones are assigned to a variety of stones, see below: the starsigns):

Aries The sardonyx is assigned to aries.	Taurus The karneol is assigned to taurus.	Gemini The topas is assigned to gemini.
Cancer The chalcedon is assigned to cancer.	Leo The jaspis is assigned to leo.	Virgo The smaragd is assigned to virgo.
Libra The beryl is assigned to libra.	Scorpio The amethyst is assigned to scorpio.	Sagittarius The hyacinth is assigned to sagittarius.
Capricorn The Chrysophras is assigned to capricorn.	Aquarius The rock crystal is assigned to aquarius.	Pisces The sapphire is assigned to pisces.

Sardonyx, oxide, opaque, belongs to the onyx, black, black and white, coloured veins ( strong power)
Physical application:
infection of the bronchi, detoxication, strengthenign of the immune system and the metabolism
Spiritual application:
strengthens the character, helpful with the quest for life, intensifies perception, helps to overcome sorrow. As a hand-soother or to be placed on the stomach for bodily harmony. To be charged by sunlight.

Karneol, oxide, opaque, red-brownish (also called sarder), orange, yellow
Physical application:
improves the blood quality and circulation, the assimilation of vitamins in the body, vitalizing, against rheumatism
Spiritual application: strengthens sympathy, team spirit, idealizing of goals, encourages. Very energizing. To be placed on the spleen chakra or to be worn with skin contact. To be charged in moonlight. The karneol is assigned to taurus.

Topas, silicate, opaque or transparent, clear or yellow-brownish
Physical application:
stimulates the metabolism, against anorexia, burn-out and states of shock, strengthens the nerves, increases and harmonizes the flow of energy
Spiritual application:
increases self-assertion, strengthens spiritual clearness, awakeness and concentration, supports creativity. To be placed on heart or head, to be carried with, for meditation. To be charged by moonlight. The topas is assigned to gemini.

Chalcedon, oxide, opaque in pink, red, blueish-white, white.
Physical application:
heart-strengthening (pink), for teh larynx and all problems with the throat and for tenseness in the shoulder area (blue), vitalizing, for the metabolism (red), flow of the lymph (white)
Spiritual application:
stimulates all chakras, strengthens symphathy and understanding, encourages confidence and calmness even in difficult situations. Can be placed on all chakras. To be charged by sunlight. The chalcedon is assigned to cancer.

Jaspis, oxide, opaque with the basic colours red, yellow, green, mixes of these and black
Physical application:
stimulates the blood circulation (red), strengthens the immune system (yellow), detoxicating (green), for venereal diseases and diseases of the bowels. Strengthens the resistance against pollutants
Spiritual application:
strenghtens determination and power. Encouraging and protective. As a protective stone against bad influences. The jaspis is assigned to the chakra and should be carried with skin contact. To be charged by moonlight. The jaspis is assigned to leo.

Smaragd, silicate, transparent to opaque, bolongs to the family of beryl, all shades of green
Physical application:
for the vision, heals sinus and bronchial infections, strengthens heart and liver, detoxicating, against rheumatism and for the healing of infections
Spiritual application:
supports perceptiveness and spiritual development, harmonizing, increases the joie de vivre. To be placed on the heart or in the hand, or under the pillow. In connection only wtih diamond, otherwise its power is weakend.To be charged by moonlight. The smaragd is assigned to virgo.

Beryl, also called cat's eye, silicate, opaque, yellow, green, gold, blue-green, red or clear.
Physical application:
detoxifying, stimulates liver and gall bladder, prevents stress, regulates the autonomic nervous system, is considered to be strengthening the eyesight (also vision). To be placed on closed eyes or for meditation.
Spiritual application:
strengthens determination adn joie de vivre, helps gaining farsightedness. To be charged by sunlight. The beryl is assigned to libra.

Amethyst, semi-precious, dark violet, transparent, belongs to the quarz family.
Physical application:
regulates the blood pressure, stabilizes, alleviates congestion of the lymphatic system, put under the pillow its supposed to prevent nightmares.
Spiritual application:
strengthens the intuition, by placing it on the forehead-chakra it helps to goodness and knowledge. To be charge by moonlight. The amethyst is assigned to scorpio.

Hyacinth, zircon, opaque, red till brownish - rare
Physical application:
all-purpose, especially for hysteria, eye defects and eye complaints, diseases in connection with skin rash (e.g. measles, German measles etc.), stomach and intestine disorder
Spiritual application: protects from dark thoughts, energy-giving, balancing, to be placed on the skin or to born close to it. To be charged in sunlight. The hyacinth is assigned to sagittarius.

Chrysophras, oxide, intensive green and opaque
Physical application:
for detoxication and purification, for the prevention of allergies, against skin diseases, supports fertility, against nervous tenseness, against addicction
Spiritual application:

Rock crystal, a quarz crystal, clear and transparent to milky

Sapphire, oxide, transparent till opaqui in colourless, all shades of blue, yellow, black
Physical application:
