The Moon in the SpiritProject Astrology

Moon

Our Moon Calendar

As much as the sun is the active, radiating, creative celestial body, the moon symbolizes the reflection and being without substance. She is just a mediator, collector and shaper.
The current position of Moon

The moon doesn't stand for creative, but reflective thinking, which finds its form in emotions, sensations and moods. Moon stands for personality (persona=mask) in opposition to individuality. It doesn't come as a surprise, that the innermost character of many people, especially women, is mirrored in the position of the Moon in one of the twelve zodiac signs- especially if the person is more of a passive and receptive than active and dynamic nature. Soul and emotional life, moods, feelings, and perioinnermostds in occurrences are moon-related. (High and low tide) Just as the sun shows the innermost nature of a person, so does the moon (depending on her position in the horoscope), stand for the form or the representation of a person, the way the person is acting on the outside, especially if the person is acting as a part of a group.

if one easily fits into a collective category and is more of a group person than an individualist, the influence of  the moon is strong and the person has a high lunar substance, while the solar principle is determining the grade of individuality in a person. In order to read a horoscope correctly, the social position of the respective person has to be known. As much as the sun is fiery, positive and masculine, as much does the moon symbolize the watery, negative, female principle - the womb and fertility. This is because conception and giving that materialize are associated with the powers of the moon. Strongly lunar influenced horoscopes show more receptive, passive, instinctive, intuitive, conceiving and imitating qualities. The feminine, emotional, soft, as well as moody, shifting, modifying ever changingprinciple is ruling. Even the physical shape and facial features of a person born in a strong lunar constellation, is on the soft side, voluptuous, lymphatic, rather than hard or masculine. With extensive experience one can determine just from the appearance of a person, which planetary influences are dominant.

The moon  stands for the masses, the public, popularity, possession, and everything mobile. This includes travel and change and depending on the position in the horoscope, offspring, motherhood, spouse and female relatives. Psychologically, the moon stands for everything without substance, the insatiable, the blending, lethargic, impractical, customary and affectionate, just like the element water does, which is ruled by the moon. Lunar influenced personalities, especially if they have cancer as their ascendant do often have premonitions and are very intuitive or even clairvoyant. Lunar people are extremely sensitive, impressionable, vulnerable and romantic. The leadership of Moon shows itself in benevolence or in a negative expression as moodiness, impatience and sensationalism. It is desirable to have the moon in a supported position in the horoscope, as in the sign of Taurus or with strong aspects of the other signs.
